French clarinetist, saxophonist, and composer Louis Sclavis began his career in 1975, collaborating with leading figures of European jazz and leading his own ensembles since 1984, releasing acclaimed albums — especially on the ECM label. He has received numerous prestigious awards and has performed in Serbia several times. Pianist and composer Benjamin Moussay, trained in Strasbourg and Paris, rose to prominence after winning the „Martial Solal“ and „Concours National de Jazz de la Défense“ competitions. He has recorded extensively, including five albums as leader and six with Sclavis. Their duo album „Unfolding“ (2024, ECM) reflects a deep musical rapport built over decades of collaboration, marked by lyrical themes, focused interplay, and richly imaginative improvisation.
