Ana Popović (Belgrade, 1976) began her career in the late 1990s with the blues quartet Hush, whose sole album, “Hometown”, was released in 1998. She then moved to the Netherlands to study jazz, forming a blues band and launching her solo career. Her first solo album, “Hush”, followed in 2001. Today, Popović is an international blues artist with 14 albums and three DVDs, Billboard chart-toppers and ten Blues Music Award nominations. She has performed at major blues festivals and six consecutive Experience Hendrix tours, sharing stages with Buddy Guy, Zakk Wylde and Eric Johnson. Bruce Springsteen has praised her as “one helluva a guitar-player”. Her latest album, “Dance to the Rhythm” (2025), explores dance-oriented grooves and features her version of Paul Simon’s “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover”.
