The lead singer is Ibrahim Ferrer Jr., the son of the famous Cuban singer of the same name who sang some of the most beautiful songs with his golden voice in the movie Buena Vista Social Club by Wim Wenders. The orchestra includes the stars of today's generation of Cuban musicians, and the program called Una Noche en La Habana (One Night in Havana) includes famous tracks from the Buena Vista Social Club album, songs by the Afro Cuban All Stars repertoire and by soloists who were involved in the initial project, as well as some of the greatest classics of Cuban traditional music.
Among the many hits they perform in concerts are the songs "Chan-Chan", "Dos Gardenias", "El Cuarto De Tula", "Candela", "Siboney", "Silencio", "Donde Estabas Tú" and "Quizás Quizás". This year, the ensemble has already sold out concerts in Istanbul, Izmir, Athens, London, and The Hague. In addition to Belgrade, they will perform in Dubai, Berlin and Cork (Ireland).in October
Buena Vista All Stars takes the audience on an exciting musical journey to Cuba, presenting the largest Caribbean island's sounds, history and cultural traditions, creating an unforgettable musical and visual experience that engages all the senses. The Festival's final concert of the anniversary edition evokes the memory of numerous encounters with the greats of Cuban music in the event's history. The first shocking performance was by the legendary band Irakere in 1978, and later, in various contexts, we enjoyed the mastery of Chucho Valdés, Paquito D'Rivera and Arturo Sandoval several more times.
