Saxophonist and composer Rastko Obradović (1995, Belgrade) gained early attention on the Serbian jazz scene through jam sessions at Čekaonica club. His talent caught the eye of Guillaume Orti, leading to his first Belgrade Jazz Festival appearance in 2013 with the RTS Big Band. He later delivered a memorable solo with the ensemble Serbian Jazz, bre! in 2014. After completing jazz studies at SMŠ “Stanković” in just two years, he continued at the Oslo Conservatory. Upon returning, he began teaching and developing his career, performing with Schime Trio (+2) and reaching the finals of the Euroradio Jazz Competition 2018. He joined the RTS Big Band as lead alto saxophonist in 2020. His solo projects include the EP Wabi Sabi and debut album The Northern Experience, followed by Mandala (2025), blending jazz, Balkan, Indian, and classical influences. Special guest on his latest album's launch is acclaimed bassist Jasper Høiby.
